I use WD-40 almost for everything. Mostly during my hand sanding processing to remove all horizontal grinding marks and convert to a fine polished surface vertically.
It works great on the finished product to treat the wooden material and metal surface. It removes all sticky residue and Buffing compound as well. Great product overall.
