Cleaning cloudy headlight lens

The headlight lenses on my car were very cloudy. I gave them a gentle spray of WD40 and wiped them with a soft cloth. I could not believe what I saw, the cloudy lens was like brand new. WOW WD40- Thank you, my car looks like new again.
